Zainab B. Awelenje
Zainab B. Awelenje was admitted to practice law in the State of New Jersey as well as the US District Court for New Jersey in 2019. She received her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2018. Prior to joining Malamut and Associates, she served as judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge John J. Burke III at Burlington County Superior Court. While in law school, Zainab represented her school as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and served as judicial intern to the Honorable Judge John E. Sparks Jr. of the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. A Baltimore native, she has performed work at the Baltimore City Law Department where her work focused on Land Use, Zoning, and Condemnation issues.
Zainab holds a mediator certificate from the Center of Alternative Dispute Resolution and has performed work in alternative dispute resolution as a Mediation extern with the Connecticut Judiciary. Zainab has Bachelors degrees in Political Science and French from Hood College and a Masters of Science in Global Affairs with a concentration in International Business from Rutgers University. She is a member of the Junior League of Greater Philadelphia.
