Settlement Post Sheldon MVA Spine Surgery 500K

$500,000 settlement on behalf of a client who suffered injuries requiring spinal surgery in a motor vehicle collision!

Here’s another major win for one of our clients! Our personal injury team, led by attorney Scott Sheldon, recently secured a $500,000 settlement for a client involved in a car accident who required spinal surgery to recover from injuries.

After being rear-ended by a driver, our client suffered lower back injuries for which spinal surgery was recommended.  The defendant driver was an underinsured motorist with a policy limit of $25,000.

The attorney put the case into litigation against the defendant driver and was able to secure a $25,000 policy tender. The client’s own insurance carrier denied the spinal surgery under its Personal Injury Protection (“PIP”) coverage, so our team proceeded against the client’s carrier in arbitration and won.

After the client underwent surgery and fully recovered, we proceeded against the insurance carrier’s Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (“UIM”) coverage to win the balance of the coverage limit of $500,000 which was ultimately tendered.
