Mark Natale joined the firm in 2020. He advises clients on employment, political/election law, and complex litigation matters. He focuses his practice on employment-related matters, including discrimination, wrongful termination, whistleblower, sexual harassment and disability claims. In addition to his specialty in employment law, Mr. Natale also has experience practicing in complex civil litigation including personal injury, qui tam, consumer fraud, and civil rights.

In the labor and employment sector, Mr. Natale has handled litigation in hundreds of matters from inception to conclusion in almost every county court in the State of New Jersey. Mr. Natale has handled matters involving the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, the Conscientious Employee Protection Act, the New Jersey Family Leave Act, New Jersey Wage Payment Law, New Jersey Wage and Hour Law, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Family Medical Leave act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Mr. Natale has also handled public employee constitutional claims, specifically dealing with alleged first amendment retaliation and failure to provide due process, under both federal civil rights law and the New Jersey Civil Rights Act. Mr. Natale has experience in every federal court in New Jersey, has briefed multiple matters for the New Jersey Appellate Division, and has appeared regularly before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights. Mr. Natale has tried matters involving the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination and Conscientious Employee Protection Act to verdict in New Jersey Superior Court.

Along with a comprehensive litigation practice, Mr. Natale also has an active practice in labor and employment counseling. Specifically, he has counseled small businesses, local municipalities, county colleges, county bridge commissions, and county government in a wide variety of employment / labor issues including issues involving reasonable accommodation requests, leave requests, allegations of retaliation and allegations of discrimination. Mr. Natale also has experience with in-house employment investigations for public sector clients. Despite the litigation focus of his practice, from a counseling perspective, Mr. Natale’s goal is always an efficient resolution that can avoid litigation and exposure for his clients, while allowing the to maintain their business and/or governance priorities.

Mr. Natale also brings varied experience in complex litigation including claims under the Consumer Fraud Act, the False Claims Act, common law claims, and political / election law. In the political law space, Mr. Natale has served as counsel / director for the election day legal operations for a highly contested congressional race, served as outside general counsel to a political party regarding a complex government vacancy issue which presented an issue of first impression on New Jersey election law, and represented a county clerk’s office both providing counsel on routine election issues, and representation in election litigation in federal court.
