The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) formally adopted drinking water standards that establish limits for the presence of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perflourooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), the so-called ‘forever chemicals,’ in public water supplies.
