Toni Telles is a life-long resident of New Jersey. She graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers College in 2001. She earned her J.D. in 2008 from Rutgers-Camden School of Law and was honored with the Class of 1995 Graduation Award for her contributions to public service on behalf of the law school. She was nominated for the Mary Philbrook Public Service Award in 2009.

Before enrolling in law school, Toni served two years with Americorps National Service in Central New Jersey. During her service, she developed and planned community and social service programs and devoted her time to assisting local social service centers with providing support to economically disadvantaged residents. Her experience was incredibly rewarding, but she knew that the type of service she wanted to provide to those in need meant pursuing a legal career.

While a student Rutgers-Camden School of Law, she founded and co-chaired the National Lawyers’ Guild, Rutgers-Camden Law School Chapter, was the Secretary of the Association of Public Interest Law and on the Executive Board of Alianza, the Latino law student association and was awarded a Marshall-Brennan Fellowship, teaching Constitutional Law to High School students in the city of Camden.

Prior to joining Malamut Law, she managed the New Jersey Employment Department for a Plaintiff’s employment firm, where she practiced primarily employment law. She also Chaired the National Lawyers’ Guild, New Jersey Chapter. Toni resides in Southern New Jersey with her 2 daughters. She is licensed to practice law in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
